A Poem by Helen Graebner
Age 7

(4)
I jumped out of the tree,
The ghost got up and followed me
I ran so very very fast,
That my own house I ran right past.

(5)
I tripped and tumbled on a stone,
And broke within my arm a bone,
The ghost then called a nurse,
And she said that I was worse.

(6)
Then I awoke out of my dream,
And it so terrible did seem
That I trembled all the morning long,
And this is the end of my terrible song.

This partial poem was found in Helen's baby book. Written in her own handwriting, it is clearly the end section of a longer poem. Helen has written a number "2" in the upper corner, and numbered each stanza "4", "5", & "6". You may view the original handwritten poem RIGHT HERE.

As an adult, Helen's travels have taken her all over the World.  She frequently writes poems to commemorate the places she's been, or events in her life.  These are a few of her favorites!
