Marilyn and Bruce Graebner, holding infant Diane, their new daughter.
Helen and Albert Graebner holding their new Granddaughter Diane.
Proud father Bruce holds Diane.
Young Diane having dinner.
Diane at 2 years old.
Diane's mother reading to her. Diane always enjoyed books and poetry.
Cookie the horse takes Diane for a ride. When she received the horse as a gift, she was told to name it anything she liked. She liked cookies!
Diane helps her father blow out the candles on his birthday cake.
Mom and Dad relax with 2 or 3 year old Diane.
In a favorite family photo, Diane gets acquainted with brand new baby brother Jeff. Diane was 3 when Jeff was born on October 14, 1969.
Diane cares for her own "baby" while new brother Jeff looks on. The doll was also named Diane, and was one of many "Diane Dolls."
Father reads to Jeff and Diane. Books and reading were always an important part of the Graebner family.
Diane's school picture, taken while she was in kindergarten, has an interesting feature. If you look very closely, you can see the "milk moustache".
Another school picture, this one most likely taken in the fourth grade.
Diane in fifth grade.
A family photo of the Graebners! Marilyn, Jeff, Diane, and Bruce.
Diane and Jeff planted this orange tree while they lived in Deltona, Florida. They were very proud of this orange. It was the ONLY one the stupid tree ever produced!
Diane poses with Fritz, the dachshund. Fritz lived with the Graebners in Flint, Michigan.
Diane prepares to attend her Senior Prom at Carman High School in Flint.
Helen visits Diane in Flint to congratulate her upon her graduation from High School. Diane graduated from Carman High in 1984, and went on to attend college at Illinois State University.
Diane poses in her cap & gown.
StoryQuest Theatre is Diane's puppetry group. She was always able to enlist the aid of her family for her shows. Marilyn, Diane's mother, dresses as a scarecrow in this Halloween story which they performed at a nursing home during visiting hours.
Miss Millicent was one of Diane's early puppet creations and starred in many shows.
In 1991 Diane traveled with the International cast of Up With People. Here she performs in the show Rhythm of the World.
While traveling with the group, Diane visited cities all over the United States and Europe. The show celebrated the diversity that makes up the Rhythm of the World. Diane performs in an international costume in the show's finale.
The Up With People cast was made up of 150 young people between the ages of 17 and 25 and represented 21 different countries around the world. Can you find Diane in this cast photo? (look in the green circle!)
Diane was always fascinated with Benjamin Franklin. She even created a marionnette of him. Here she performs her historical tribute to Franklin for her Up With People cast.
Marilyn, Diane's mother, poses with Diane outside of the Ford museum in Michigan. Marilyn and Bruce had come to Michigan from their home in Ohio to see Diane perform with Up With People.
No George Lucas, Diane tapes a family reunion for Helen with the help of her Uncle Neal. Diane forgot about the camera during dinner, and accidentally taped 2 boring hours of people eating!
Upon moving to Orlando, Florida, Diane adopted a dog, PT Barnum, and a cat, Bailey. Diane, PT and Bailey pose for a "Family Photo."
PT and Bailey gained a "sister" when Diane adopted Charity in West Palm Beach, Florida. Once Charity came into the family, PT (to the left of Diane) stopped cooperating for the photographer!
While in Florida, Diane worked at Sea World. Maybe she was there a little TOO long?!
Diane poses for the Club newsletter at Admiral's Cove Golf and Country Club in Jupiter, Florida. Diane had just accepted a job as Front Office Coordinator at the club.
Another puppet, Claude the Gypsy starred in many StoryQuest shows.
Diane and Marilyn relax in this vacation photo.
Do you like Diane's new car? Ok, it's not REALLY Diane's! It's the car Harrison Ford drove in American Graffiti. Diane, a big fan of Ford, couldn't resist posing next to his car!
